PPG Completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES Project at School in Spain

PPG completed a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® project at CEIP Pinoduero, a public preschool and primary school in Tudela de Duero, Spain.

PPG announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project at CEIP Pinoduero, a public preschool and primary school in Tudela de Duero, Spain. The initiative brought together more than 60 PPG employee volunteers, along with teachers and local partners, to transform the school environment.

The project focused on renovating two school buildings, including classrooms, hallways, common areas, stairwells and selected exterior elements. PPG provided more than 130 gallons (500 liters) of SEIGNEURIE® paints by PPG to complete the project. The color palette included Secret Safari, PPG’s 2026 Color of the Year, helping create a welcoming and inspiring environment for the school’s 160 students and teachers.

A large-scale mural was also created in the school playground. Designed by artist Nano A. Lázaro, it was developed as a collaborative artwork reflecting themes such as respect, innovation and children’s rights, while also incorporating references to the school’s centenary celebration last year.

“This project represents a significant transformation for our school,” said Aránzazu Calvo Durán, principal of CEIP Pinoduero. “The new colors and mural not only enhance our facilities but also create an inspiring environment that encourages creativity, well-being and a sense of belonging among our students. We are very grateful to PPG and all the volunteers who made this possible.”

“This project is a great example of what we can achieve when we work together with the local community,” said Daniel Rincon Martin, PPG plant manager, Valladolid. “Employees from our automotive coatings manufacturing facility in Valladolid were proud to volunteer their time and talents to help transform CEIP Pinoduero with support from Town Council. By revitalizing the buildings and creating a unique mural, our volunteers have helped bring new energy to the school.”
